Powerful data bases and search engines have greatly narrowed the gap, between a person with limited exposure to the law, and an experienced lawyer– if the public had user friendly access.

Much cheaper overseas lawyers are blocked by trade barriers, or pushed out of public consciousness, while nonlegal jobs go overseas in droves.

Manufacturing of complication, fear and fees is widespread. The operative assumption should be reversed—if ordinary people cannot grasp a law or legal concept, it is probably infirm.

This foundation advocates a number of changes, some sweeping, to recenter how people relate to the law, and to lawyers. The best lawyers will welcome them.
